Due to great rains country wide The Orange and Vaal River systems has been graciously fed and most of the big dams are full. This means guaranteed water and most likely a great level for racing. This section of the Orange River has the most constant water level and is always running at about 40 to 50 cumecs and with the raining season still on hand it can only get better.

So if you are looking plenty of water and a most enjoyable paddle and not to mention a great family breakaway weekend, then the Orange Descent is definetly the race for you.
